Brian Pomerance

Senior Partner

Brian has worked in manufacturing and supply chain for 21 years.  A Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, he has held Director level and Continuous Improvement positions since 2010.    

Brian, most recently led a Lean transformation in a $80M factory.  This included the implementation of a Lean Management System, a formal Preventive Maintenance System including calibration, TPM & Autonomous Maintenance.  This led to a 40% reduction in Quality complaints and 55% reduction in recordable injury rates and the ability to meet 2020 productivity goals despite the global pandemic.

As a Continuous Improvement Leader, he has implemented Continuous Improvement / Lean Six Sigma in three manufacturing plants in US & Canada.  He completed Lean Six Sigma projects with a combined cost savings of $8.3M+ using Lean SMED techniques, TPM and Design of Experiments.  He developed and implemented several best practices globally across Berry plants.

Brian has been teaching since his undergraduate days at Villanova and continues teaching and mentoring Lean Six Sigma candidates.  He has consulted with Adonis Partners, mentoring students across North America and Africa.

Brian holds a B.S. in Astronomy & Astrophysics from Villanova University (Villanova, PA) and an MBA from Wake Forest University (Winston Salem, NC).  He received a commission in the US Navy following college, was selected for the Navy’s nuclear power program and served on nuclear submarines for 5 years.

Brian received his Lean Six Sigma Black Belt training from Jack West of Six Sigma Adventures, and Berry Global.  He holds a certification in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from The American Society of Quality.
