Al Lopez

Senior Partner

Al Lopez is a change-agent specializing in driving continuous improvement in manufacturing operations. Over a span of 15 years, Al’s professional experience includes leading implementation of Lean Six Sigma and TPM at various CPG’s ranging across food and beverage, personal care and industrial products. Al led pivotal CI launches that transformed culture and enabled teams to achieve their productivity targets. In his leadership roles, Al was responsible for production, maintenance, and production scheduling. He also had oversight over functional platforms in Learning and Development, Autonomous Maintenance pillar, and talent development.

Al received his Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Kraft Foods. At Kraft, Al led multiple DMAIC projects to deliver $2MM annual savings from waste reduction solutions. Under his leadership at Danone, the site became a network benchmark for a successful launch and commitment to CI; delivering 40% OEE improvement, 25% additional volume, and $4MM savings in waste. Most recently, Al led projects to reduce changeover times (SMED) and enhance supervisor capabilities by development of leader standard work.

Al holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of California, Berkeley. He received his MBA from California State University, Fullerton. Al continues to provide turnaround solutions to organizations through people, processes and capability.
