Mike has more than 30 years of experience in driving process improvement across the globe. He was originally trained in Lean Manufacturing by Shingijutsu Consulting. He earned Black Belt and Master Black Belt certifications at GE and has trained over 600 Black Belts and Master Black Belts in Lean Six Sigma methods.

Mike has worked as a process improvement consultant in the Manufacturing, Biotechnology, Healthcare, Financial Services, Private Equity, Retail, and Government sectors. Some of his clients include CarMax, Mayo Clinic, CVS/Caremark, Church & Dwight, GKN Aerospace, Matthews International, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Mike worked in the Plastics Industry for over 15 years and ran a Resin Extrusion operation for GE Plastics (now SABIC).

He also consulted with clients in the computer, consumer products, lawn & garden, industrial products, and automotive industries on plastic product design and manufacturing.

As Director of Global Process Improvement for Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Laboratory Products Division, Mike was responsible for driving process improvement at 15 laboratory consumable plants in 7 countries around the globe, delivering over $39 million in productivity savings in 2 years.

Mike graduated Cornell University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He currently serves on the Board of the Cornell Engineering Alumni Association.
